Pasquale and his small winery in Neive have been the guidance and inspiration for many a young winemaker from the Barbaresco area. As far back as 40 years ago the newer generation of producers used to come to him as a sort of "pilgrimage" in order to learn how to treat and tame the local beast, Nebbiolo. As a true farmer, he never sought the limelight and was happy enough to make good wine for his family, friends and neighbors. He passed away in 2007 and now his daughter Ornella has taken the reins of the farm, maintaining her father’s
philosophy and producing wines that mirror the true characteristics of the Langhe varietals and its terroir. No tricks, no gimmicks, just Piemonte in its purest expression. Total production 15.000 bottles from
4 hectares. |
